As you may be aware, I spent ten days in sunny Melbourne enjoying the Australian Open while working with my player Olly Beadle who played in the PWII event.

The Australian Federation are trying to make this a yearly event so that it can compete with wheelchair tennis and are hoping other slams also follow in their footsteps.

While I was away, I kept a daily diary to keep a record of the experience and sent the emails to my mailing list.

Here are the diary entries by day:

Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
Day 8

It was interesting talking to coaches who work with other tour players – what they do and how they do it. The good news is what we were doing is not too different from the higher-level tour players…. and this was after talking with one of Djokovics team!

The S9 tour course was of huge benefit prior to this trip and we will be running more of these in the coming future with our next in Florida as part of the S9 Tennis University.

Enjoy your practice!
